Crypto Ad Creatives in 2026: Examples and Tips

Crypto ad creatives with clear examples: what works in 2026, what moderation rejects, Telegram format specs and a simple step-by-step plan for testing.
Crypto Ad Creatives 2026 guide and examples

TL;DR

  • Good crypto ad creatives show the product: one action and one number that is easy to check.
  • Do not promise income. "100x", guarantees and "zero risk" will not pass moderation.
  • Video and images need different ideas. A frame from a video rarely works as a banner.
  • In AdsGram you can add up to 10 banners with your crypto ad to one campaign and compare them by CTR, CR and CPA.

Crypto is harder to advertise than most products. People no longer believe "100x" promises. Moderators reject any hint of guaranteed income. Yet demand is still there: people use exchanges and wallets even when the market falls.

This guide shows, with examples, which crypto ad creatives work and which get rejected. It covers ideas, formats, moderation rules and testing. The examples are built for the formats used for advertising in Telegram, where many crypto projects already run channels, bots and Mini Apps.

What Makes Crypto Ad Creatives Work

In 2026, the ads that work show the product and do not promise earnings. An ad creative is the image or video, the text and the button a person sees in one ad.

Three rules:

  • Show the use, not the price. According to Chainalysis, the crypto market lost about half its value in the year to June 2026. On-chain activity barely moved: $9.4 trillion against $9.5 trillion a year earlier. People still swap, send and store. Talk about that.
  • Make many versions. AppsFlyer studied 1.2 million ad creatives. In non-gaming apps, the top 2% of videos took almost half of all spend (49.1%). You cannot guess the winner. You can only find it by testing.
  • Plan for moderation from the start. An ad that fails review gets zero impressions.

Crypto Ad Creative Examples: Good and Bad

A good example shows the product screen and one number. A bad one promises money and hides the product. Here are three pairs. The brands are fictional, and these are illustrations, not ready-made templates.

Example 1. Post-style image ad

crypto ad creative post example

Bad: the title says "EARN $500 A DAY!!!", the image says "X100" and "100% guaranteed".

  • It promises income and "zero risk".
  • All caps, "No. 1" and three exclamation marks.
  • No product in sight. It is unclear what is being advertised.

Good: the title says "Swap USDT to TON", the image shows the swap screen.

  • One action: a swap.
  • One number: a 0.2% fee. It is easy to check in the app.
  • The product is visible at once.

Example 2. Text ad in Telegram Ads

crypto creative ad text example

Bad: "THE BEST exchange, No. 1!!! Grab 1,000 free tokens and earn every single day".

  • "The best" and "No. 1" are superlatives, which Telegram Ads does not allow.
  • A pushy, over-familiar tone.
  • A promise of earnings and a bonus.

Good: "Norvi Exchange: spot trading with fees from 0.1%. Full pricing and risks are published on the site."

  • A calm tone.
  • A fact the user can check on the site.
  • No caps and no exclamation marks.

Example 3. Vertical video, 9:16

crypto-creative-video-storyboard

Bad: 8 seconds of "X100", "$500 a day" and "Tap now" with a countdown.

  • Not a single frame of the product.
  • An income guarantee and a timer put pressure on the viewer.

Good: 10 seconds, one idea.

  • 0–2 seconds: the product screen and a headline.
  • 2–7 seconds: one action in three steps. Enter the amount, check the fee, confirm.
  • 7–10 seconds: the brand, a button and a risk line.

Crypto Ad Creative Ideas: Six Angles

The ideas that work best show what the product does for the user. Here are six to start testing with.

Idea

What to show

Who it fits

Product demo

One action on screen: a swap, a deposit, a transfer

Wallets, exchanges, DeFi apps

Fees and speed

One number: a fee or a settlement time

Exchanges, on-ramps, payment services

Security

An audit, reserves, account recovery

Wallets, custody services

Education

One term or one risk in 10–15 seconds

Channels, media, products for beginners

Use inside Telegram

A bot or Mini App solving a task in the chat

Bots, Mini Apps, TON projects

Game

Gameplay first, the crypto mechanic second

Web3 games

Where to start? In AppsFlyer's report, finance apps win with content about product features: 43% of image spend and 41% of video spend. The report has no separate data for crypto, but the direction is clear. Test the demo and the fees ideas first.

Crypto Ad Creative Formats and Sizes

Each format needs its own creative: a vertical video, a square image or a short text. AppsFlyer found that what works on video usually does not work on a still image.

Requirements on the AdsGram platform:

Where it runs

What to upload

Text limits

Mini Apps, Media ads format

MP4 video, 6–15 seconds, 9:16, up to 50 MB. Or a 1:1 image up to 1 MB. Or a 1:1 GIF up to 2 MB

Title 3–30 characters, text 10–160

Task lists and the block above chats, Inline ads format

A 1:1 icon

Title 3–30 characters, text 10–50

Channels and bots, Post format

An image or GIF up to 5 MB, 1:1 is best

Title 3–56 characters, text 10–764

Telegram Ads

Optional 16:9 photo or MP4 video, 3–60 seconds, up to 20 MB

Text up to 160 characters

Three tips:

  • Video. Start with the product screen, not the logo.
  • Image. One idea and one number. The text must be readable on a phone.
  • Text. Write the shortest version first. Fifty characters fit one benefit.

Crypto Ad Creatives That Pass Moderation

An ad passes moderation when it describes the product and promises nothing. Ads are usually rejected for their wording or their landing page, not for the crypto topic itself.

What gets rejected:

  • Income promises. Telegram's rules ban get-rich-quick offers and guaranteed returns. AdsGram's rules for Telegram Ads also ban trading "signals" and unlicensed crypto offers.
  • Unrealistic rewards. Promises of oversized prizes, bonuses and payouts.
  • Loud text. Not allowed in Telegram Ads: "the best", "No. 1", all caps, more than one exclamation mark, an over-familiar tone.
  • A different landing page. The ad says one thing, the page says another.
  • Redirects. A site or bot that only sends the user somewhere else.
  • A project with no footprint. No website, channel or community, or an empty channel.

How to rewrite the text (examples):

Gets rejected

Better

"Earn $500 a day with our bot"

"Track prices and set alerts in Telegram"

"The best exchange. Lowest fees!!!"

"Spot trading fees are listed on the site"

"Guaranteed 20% APY on USDT"

"See staking rates and risks in the app"

"Grab 1,000 free tokens"

"Sign up to unlock tasks in the app"

Beyond platform rules, there are laws. In the UK, the FCA requires fair ads with a risk warning and bans bonuses for investing. In the EU, MiCA sets similar requirements. Check the rules of each country before you make the creatives.

A Telegram Ads campaign launched through AdsGram is reviewed by AdsGram first and by Telegram after that. Both sets of rules apply. The full list is in our article on Telegram Ads requirements.

How to Test Crypto Ad Creatives

Run several versions in one campaign and compare them by cost per conversion. Here is the order of steps in AdsGram.

  1. Change one thing. The idea, the first frame or the format. Keep the offer and the landing page the same.
  2. Make 4–6 versions. An AdsGram campaign holds up to 10 banners.
  3. Put them all in one campaign. Separate campaigns with the same targeting compete with each other.
  4. Pick the language. The language of the ad and the language in targeting should match.
  5. Set up conversions. Start with tCPC. After 10 conversions, Maximize Conversions and tCPA become available.
  6. Compare the banners. Look at CTR, CR and CPA. Many clicks and few conversions mean the ad attracts the wrong people.

Two more things to keep in mind:

  • By default, one person sees the ad up to 7 times in 7 days. Lower the frequency while you test.
  • Editing a banner sends the campaign back to moderation. Replace banners in batches, not one by one.

App installs are tracked through AppsFlyer or Adjust, and website conversions through a tracker such as Keitaro. If you are growing a channel, see our guide on how to track subscribers from Telegram Ads.

Launching Crypto Ad Creatives in AdsGram

AdsGram is an ad platform for Telegram and a Telegram Ads reseller. You can run the same ads in Mini Apps, channels, bots and Telegram Ads from one account.

  • Where to show ads. Mini Apps, channels, bots, and Telegram Ads with four campaign types: Users, Channels, Bots and Search. Bots and Search unlock after the first reserve in Users or Channels.
  • How to reach a crypto audience. In channel campaigns, choose the Crypto category or a list of five or more channels. In Mini Apps, set the language, country, VPN, platform and Telegram Premium.
  • How much money you need. Mini Apps have no minimum deposit, and AdsGram suggests 100–250 USDT for a test. Channel posts: a daily budget from $100 and a CPM from $3. Telegram Ads: a CPM from 1 USDT, a daily budget from 10 USDT and a 500 USDT reserve for the first campaign in a new region or language.
  • How long moderation takes. In the AdsGram network, usually 4–6 hours on weekdays and 6–10 hours on weekends. In Telegram Ads, 24–48 hours on business days.
  • How to measure results. Statistics for each banner, 24/7 anti-fraud, and integrations with AppsFlyer, Adjust, AppMetrica, Keitaro and Kochava.

Once the ads are ready, setting up a campaign takes about five minutes.

FAQ

  1. What crypto ad creatives work best in 2026? The ads that work best show the product. The frame has one action, such as a swap, and one number that is easy to check, such as a fee. There should be no promise of income. The ad and the page it leads to must say the same thing.
  2. Which is better for a crypto ad creative: video or image? Test both formats, but with different ideas. A vertical video of 6–15 seconds is good for showing the product in action. A square image is good for one idea and one number. You can start with a text-only ad to check the idea cheaply before you make visuals.
  3. Why does moderation reject crypto ads? Crypto ads are most often rejected for their wording: income promises, guarantees, get-rich-quick offers, trading signals, big bonuses, all caps and "the best". The second reason is the landing page: it does not match the ad or only redirects. The third is a project with no website, channel or community.
  4. How many crypto ad creatives should I test at once? Testing 4–6 versions at a time works well. It is enough to compare, and each version gets enough impressions. In AdsGram you can add up to 10 banners to one campaign. Change one thing between versions and compare them by cost per conversion, not by clicks.
  5. Can I advertise a crypto project in Telegram Ads through AdsGram? Yes, there are two ways to do it. The first is the AdsGram ad network: your ads run in Telegram Mini Apps, channels and bots. The second is Telegram Ads: AdsGram is a Telegram Ads reseller, so these campaigns launch from the same account. In both cases the ad must not promise income. Telegram Ads campaigns are reviewed by AdsGram first, then by Telegram.
